In what many fans consider surprising, Junichi Masuda did not reveal a much speculated third version of Black and White on the Pokemon Smash Show, but rather sequels to Black and White!
Entitled Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2, the games both include two new forms of the Pokemon Kyurem, which Masuda later revealed on Twitter were named Black Kyurem & White Kyurem. Both versions have a Japanese release date of June 2012, so not long to wait it seems. Both games will be on the Nintendo DS, not yet fully upgrading to 3DS just yet.
And that's about all that was revealed about the games. We'll keep our eyes and ears open once new info is revealed.
On a related note, a new poster for the 15th (!) Pokemon movie, Kyurem VS The Sacred Swordsman Keldeo, also revealed that it will star the new Kyurem forms! What's even more surprising is that it also revealed event mon Meloetta, but not in the main feature, but in the attached Pikachu short, entitled Meloetta's Sparkling Recital. Might we be getting another event Pokemon this year, or might it be in the new sequels?
Exciting times ahead, PKMN.Neters!
