All 4th and 5th Gen games affected!

Since the days of Diamond and Pearl, trainers from around the world have been able to connect and play with other trainers from all around the world. Whether it be that Pokemon you're itching for but know of no one local who has a DS or Pokemon game to trade with, taking your 6 best Pokemon and taking on the world of fellow trainers in intense battles, or getting your hands on a Japanese Ditto for mass shiny breeding and many other GTS delights, online play became an important part of the Pokemon series.
That is, until this May.
From May 20th, all online play services for Wii and DS games (Wii U and 3DS are unaffected) will be terminated for every region. Every single game that connects to the Internet on those two consoles, including every Pokemon game on the two systems. Below is a list of every game affected by this;
Pokémon Diamond, Pokémon Pearl, Pokémon Platinum, Pokémon HeartGold, Pokémon SoulSilver, Pokémon Battle Revolution, Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, Pokémon White 2, My Pokémon Ranch, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs, Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia and Pokémon Conquest. Phew.
The Wii Shop and DSi Shop will remain in place so you can still pick up Virtual Console, Wiiware and DSiware games to buy and download, but obviously not connect to any of the online multiplayer options some of those games may have. Video services like Netflix will remain as well.
With only 3 months left of service, you might want to have those last online battles and fill those Pokedex entries before your 4th and 5th gen games become local multiplayer only, just like the good ol' days of Gens 1 to 3...
