Exploud | Cacophony This name is based off of the unused (but unremoved) ability that was implanted in Generation 3. It is assumed that this ability was to be the ability of the Exploud line, rather than Soundproof (which makes no sense, because it causes a loud noise, rather than blocking sound). Cacophony basically means a discordant sound, which makes more sense for Exploud than Soundproof does. Why they changed the name is beyond me.
