Empoleon | Charlmagne It's supposed to be Charlemagne, but since I was playing Pokemon Platinum when I came up with the name, I had to shorten it by one letter. Charlemagne is a famous emperor who ruled over Europe and Empoleon is based on the emperor penguin, which is why I chose the name. Tue 23 Oct 2018 00:18:02 UTC by Tacosmin | Johto Name Rater says... Empoleon | Kingpen It's great, no doubt. Most penguins look like they wear some sort of suit, and Empoleon does, too, in my mind - the mainly dark body with the white fancy patterned spot on its chest speaks "suit" to me. Not sure about you though. Who also wears those suits? Criminal kingpins - that's who. Even fictional ones like Bruno "Ugly" Mannheim from DC and, of course, Kingpin from Marvel. He's a penguin. KingPEN. Pen as in penGUIN. A penguin kingpin. I doubt you'll like it, but I like it just fine. Tue 20 Mar 2018 20:20:53 UTC by Octacle | The Name Rater says... Did an Empoleon sell you drugs? Empoleon | Reign Reign because it's based off an emperor penguin and it's a homonym of the word "rain", fitting since it's a Water-type Pokemon. Empoleon | Adalric Adalric is a name that means noble. It has been cited as both noble leader and noble friend. Being a starter Pokémon, he certainly is a noble friend, and being an emperor penguin, he is noble in a majestic way too. He could also be considered a noble leader due to being based partially off of Napoleon, who himself was the emperor of France. Fri 19 Feb 2016 15:06:46 UTC by | The Name Rater says... If you think Napoleon was a noble leader, recheck your history books. Also, it's just not a good name. Rated: Thu 07 Apr 2016 12:24:13 UTC |

Empoleon | Triteia I was originally going to name my Empoleon Poseidon, but I happened to get a female, so it wasn't appropriate any more. After some quick research, I turned up Triteia. She was the daughter of Triton, son of Poseidon. It also sounds a bit like trident, and Empoleon has a trident-like mask on it's face. Wed 08 May 2013 20:27:12 UTC by Safireix | The Name Rater says... Meh, it gets a barely passable mark on the one basis that you didn't name it Poseidon. Rated: Tue 16 Jul 2013 21:54:30 UTC |

Empoleon | Etienne Empoleon is based off an Emperor Penguin and Napoleon; Etienne is the french equivalent of "Stephen" which means "crown, honour and wealth". Empoleon | Isis The meaning of the name Isis is "woman of the throne," and seeing as though Empoleon is based on an emperor penguin, I thought the name could fit a female Empoleon quite nicely. Also, it is pronounced eye-sis, or, if you will, ice-is, referring to Empoleon's icy habitat. Thu 09 Aug 2012 19:55:09 UTC by ~xMidnightWolfx~ | The Name Rater says... Try and pronounce it all you want, but until you bend it so it sounds nothing like "Isis" I'm always going to think it's turd. Rated: Sat 15 Sep 2012 10:24:12 UTC |
