Dusknoir | Cyclopath I chose this name because Dusknoir is a cyclops (as you can see) and I just combined that with 'psychopath' because once you allow it to set up in battle, there's no stopping it. Dusknoir | Kelphyr It's actually a portmanteau of the German word 'dunkel' and the word 'zephyr'. 'Dunkel' means 'dark', and the word 'zephyr' means 'a gentle breeze'. Putting these two together would mean 'a dark, gentle breeze'. Seeing as Dusknoirs bring people to the spirit world, they would most likely have a dark nature, especially the one from PMD2. And since they're ghosts with the famous ghost's squiggle at the bottom of its body, they would have to levitate to move around, and would most likely cause a breeze to follow. Therefore, I have nicknamed a Dusknoir 'Dunkel'. You have to admit, this would basically be a good way to name a Pokemon. Almost all of them have portmanteaus as names, even Dusknoir. Sun 22 Mar 2009 01:05:23 UTC by Apprentice | The Name Rater says... While I appreciate the thought behind it, Kelphyr won't mean anything to people. They'll just assume you're stupid. Although I'll accept it if you promise to never name anything Dunkel ever, ever again. Rated: Mon 19 Oct 2009 16:25:08 UTC |
