Purrloin | Bast Bast is an Egyptian name meaning fire or heat. In Egyptian mythology Bast was a goddess of cats, fertility and the sun who was considered a protector of Lower Egypt. She was often depicted with the head of a lioness or a house cat. As her role in the Egyptian pantheon diminished, she was called Bastet. Purrloin | Cheshire Purrloin is a very mischievous feline-like pokemon who tricks and steals from trainers. It's color scheme [both normal and shiny] remind me of both versions of the cheshire cat, disney's and tim burton's, and it just seems to fit. The name even stays fitting when it evolves. Purrloin | Greed Purrlion is a thief, right? That reminded me of one of the sins, greed, so it is a good name showing their nature of greediness and stealing people's things, only wanting more and more. Purrloin | Purrthieft The Pokedex told me it steals things from people, but is always forgiven because it looks so cute. Since it's a cat, it purrs, and is a perfect thief. Play with the word 'perfect' and it's english name a little, and you get Purrthieft. Mon 14 Mar 2011 06:20:50 UTC by Utack and Swampy | The Name Rater says...
