Volcarona | Ra I saw this on a Growlithe and instantly thought it would work better for Volcarona, the Sun Pokemon, since Ra is the Egyptian god of the sun. (Theoretically, it could work for Espeon and Sunflora, but I feel it works best for Volcarona.) Wed 23 Jul 2014 04:57:14 UTC by rockheart0103 | The Name Rater says... Volcarona | Iblis Iblis is the Islamic version of Satan, and is often associated with fire and bugs, which is what Volcarona is. Volcarona | Sun Kissed I've always enjoyed this nickname for Volcarona. It's a Pokemon that was once used as a replacement for the sun, after all. As it flares, I would imagine that it gives off a warm sun-kissed glow. Besides, it's wings are a pretty orangey-golden color. c: Thu 08 Nov 2012 22:40:16 UTC by xingapanda | The Name Rater says... Volcarona | Amaterasu I chose Amaterasu as a nickname because it's the name of the Shinto Sun Goddess. Volcarona | Soliel Soliel is the French word for Sun. Volcarona's Pokemon Black pokedex entery says that in times when the volcanic ash covered the sun from the people, this pokemon's fire would take the sun's place. I also thought that the name Soleil could work for either gender of Volcarona, but I think it would work better with a female.
