Dear Sentret, Is there an easier way to get a pokemon to like the trainer in Diamond & Pearl than just to keep giving it vitimans and leveling it?

Isn't it really odd that Kecleon is supposed to be a chameleon and blend in its surroundings and YET it can't learn "Camoflage" but Mothim and Staryu can?!!! Hiya Sentret! If I use a pokeradar, and I chain alot of the same pokemon, will there be a better chance of me finding a shiny pokemon, of the one I chained?
