Richard's Main Team

Created by Dragonmaster1132

My main team. These six Pokemon are among my very favorites, and have been chosen, not because of tiers, or how well they work together, but because they are my favorites. I think this team can, and will hold up pretty well in OU battles. Please rate and comment, but use constructive criticism please. =)
Blaziken
Holding Choice Scarf
Ability: Blaze
Moves: Nature: Adamant
Attack EV: 252
Speed EV: 252
HP EV: 6

Scarf makes him fast enough to compete in standard OU battles. Flare Blitz gets STAB. Stone Edge hits Salamence, Yanmega, and other Flying types that may switch-in to take advantage of Blaziken's Flying weakness. Sky Uppercut gets STAB as well, and K.O.'s Weavile, and also does Super Effective damage against Porygon-Z, Blissey, Snorlax, Rhyperior and many others. ThunderPunch is mainly there to ensure the OHKO on Gyarados, even after Intimidated, but I've recently been contimplating Earthquake > ThunderPunch or Stone Edge. Unsure of which though...

Vaporeon
Holding Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Moves: Nature: Bold
Defense EV: 252
Special Attack EV: 70
HP EV: 188

Vaporeon@ Leftovers {Water Absorb} Bold nature (+Defense, -Attack) EVs: 252 Defense/ 188 HP/ 70 Sp. Attack Surf Ice Beam Substitute Baton Pass Surf gets STAB, and Ice Beam is for Dragons, Grass types, and Flying types. Vaporeon passes really bulky Substitutes, which is tremendously helpful to my team. Not much else to say here, except it usually passes the Subs to Gardevoir.

Gardevoir
Holding Leftovers
Ability: Trace
Moves: Nature: Modest
Defense EV: 200
Special Attack EV: 58
HP EV: 252

Usually, Vaporeon Baton Passes a Substitute onto Gardevoir, then it uses Calm Mind once or twice to make its Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense really high. Psychic gets STAB, and Thunderbolt gives it excellent coverage. Wish can be used to restore Gardevoirs HP, or a team-mates HP, but it'd lose all of its Calm Minds, but it could still be useful.

Salamence
Holding Choice Specs
Ability: Intimidate
Moves: Nature: Modest
Special Attack EV: 252
Speed EV: 252
HP EV: 6

Usually my lead Pokemon. Intimidate ruins physical leads. Draco Meteor punches giant holes into things in early stages of battle. Fire Blast hits Skarmory and Magnezone mainly, but also for everything else it hits for SE damage. Hydro Pump is for Heatran mainly, who walls this set without it. Dragon Pulse is to sweep late in the game, to have a STAB move only resisted by Steel types that has no drawbacks.

Electivire
Holding Life Orb
Ability: Motor Drive
Moves: Nature: Adamant
Attack EV: 252
Speed EV: 252
HP EV: 6

Helps even out the amount of physical/ special Pokemon on my team, and is a good switch-in for when I know a Thunderbolt will be aimed at Vaporeon for a free Speed boost. ThunderPunch gets STAB, Ice Punch provides wonderful coverage alongside ThunderPunch. Cross Chop is there to break down Blissey. Earthquake gets great power and coverage.

Blissey
Holding Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Moves: Nature: Bold
Defense EV: 252
Special Defense EV: 6
HP EV: 252

My cleric. Seismic Toss gives a stable 100 damage per turn. Softboiled heals Blissey up by 50%, which is common on walls, especially the best Special Wall in D/P. Aromatherapy removes all the harmful status afflictions that the rest of my team may have. Thunder Wave spread crippling Paralysis around the opponent's team.

Relying on Flinch isn't a good idea, especially when you can KO things with a higher crit ratio and power of Stone Edge. If you're going to trust anyone to know how to use Blaziken, seriously, trust me. :D

SpecsMence Draco Meteor is so powerful that common leads are OHKO'd without a Steel typing or being horribly bulky (like Hippowdon, which is OHKO'd by Hydro Pump). You switch after using Draco Meteor once.

This is for use on Shoddy, but yes, my in-game Electivire was from PBR. I reset until I got one with 31 Attack and Speed IVs, and always being Adamant nature helped.

How d'ya find out your IVs?

This is for a battle simulator, but to find your IVs, you have to know the Pokemon's exact EVs (if any), and use an IV calculator.
