Richard's 5th Gen Favorites

Created by Dragonmaster1132

Following the success of my favorites teams, which are the top-rated Squads here, I've made a 5th generation Favorites team. There has been only one change to the lineup, but many changes to the Pokemon themselves. Again, this team is made entirely of favorites, and tiers are not considered when making this team.
Gardevoir
Holding Choice Scarf
Ability: Trace
Moves: Nature: Timid
Special Attack EV: 58
Speed EV: 252
HP EV: 200

An unusual TrickScarf lead. After Tricking the Scarf, it's free to launch a Will-o-Wisp, since most things that will switch-in are physical threats, such as Tyranitar, Scizor, etc. Ruining their lead gives me an immediate advantage over the opponent, and allows me to opperate with two of their Pokemon crippled in just two turns. Psychic for STAB, Focus Blast for coverage. It also wrecks Dark type Pursuit Pokemon that want to come in and trap-kill her.

Blaziken
Holding Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
Moves: Nature: Adamant
Attack EV: 252
Defense EV: 6
Speed EV: 252

Dream World has blessed Blaziken with the Speed Boost ability. The one thing that has been holding Blaziken back, his middling Speed, has been remedied. After a Swords Dance, Blaziken sits at doubled Attack, and x1.5 Speed, which increases every turn. Blaziken can come in on a defensive Pokemon, setup a Swords Dance, and end games. Flare Blitz and Hi Jump Kick form the STAB core of the set. To give you an idea of how powerful this is, Hippowdon, one of the most physically defensive Pokemon in the entire metagame, takes 87-102% damage from Hi Jump Kick after a Swords Dance, so it can't even come in on Blaziken. Standard Gliscor, another one of the most defensive Pokemon in the entire metagame, takes 96%-113% from Flare Blitz. Walls simply cannot stop Blaziken without resisting his STABs entirely. There is a reason that Blaziken has been banned to Uber this generation, and this is it. This being a favorites team, it doesn't adhere to tiers. Stone Edge hits Salamence, Dragonite and other winged Dragons.

Vaporeon
Holding Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Moves: Nature: Bold
Defense EV: 252
Special Defense EV: 8
HP EV: 248

Vaporeon is a defensive pivot for the team, and it serves many functions on this team. Scald is STAB, and has a Burn rate that makes taking physical hits easier for not only Vaporeon, but the entire team. Wish and Protect serves as reliable recovery, and can pass 231 HP Wishes to team-mates. Ice Beam is for coverage, allowing Vaporeon to hit Dragons that would otherwise setup on her.

Salamence
Holding Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
Moves: Nature: Naive
Attack EV: 252
Special Attack EV: 6
Speed EV: 252

This set is the reason Salamence was banned in 4th gen. It's still destructive this generation as well, but not as game breaking. Still, after a single Dragon Dance, Salamence is sitting at 553 Attack, and 492 Speed. Couple this with Outrage, which has absurd base power, and is only resisted by the Steel type, and something on the opponent's team is more than likely going to die from Salamence. Earthquake and Fire Blast cover Steel types that would like to come in to wall Outrage, such as Heatran, Ferrothorn, Forretress and Skarmory. This can end games by itself.

Serperior
Holding Grass Gem
Ability: Contrary
Moves: Nature: Timid
Special Attack EV: 252
Speed EV: 252
HP EV: 6

(Hidden Power Ice) Serperior is a wall-breaker, and a unique one at that, in that it gets stronger just by using it's most powerful move. Leaf Storm boosted by Grass Gem is going to Punch a hole in something, and Leaf Storm coupled with Contrary sets Serperior at a higher Sp. Attack every time it uses it. Hidden Power Ice is for Dragons, since my team already has many answers for Heatran and Ferrothorn, there is no need for Hidden Power Ground, Rock, or Fire. Giga Drain is a STAB to use after Leaf Storm has been used to raise Sp. Attack, to replenish HP, and ensure that Leaf Storm's 8 PP isn't drained before it's time. Glare can Paralyze a threat, allowing the rest of my team to deal with them easier, if need be. Serperior doesn't have much of a special movepool, outside of the first three moves I've listed.

Blissey
Holding Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Moves: Nature: Bold
Defense EV: 252
Special Defense EV: 6
HP EV: 252

Blissey has lost much of what made her so amazing this generation, due to the increased usage of Fighting types, Spikes being more common, and the creep in power of Special attackers like Reuniclus, Blissey isn't as unbreakable anymore. Eviolite Chansey is also more physically bulky than Blissey, but all is not lost for Blissey. Blissey is still one of the best special walls this metagame has, and serves as a cleric for the team, removing all status problems through Aromatherapy. Seismic Toss does 100 damage per turn, which is handy in wall-breaking. Softboiled is instant 50% recovery, which is necessary for walls. Toxic breaks walls down. The EVs are quite simple - Blissey already walls special attackers, and this spread allows it to take as little from physical attacks (the side people hit it on) as best as it can. It can take Pursuits decently while switching out, and take Non-STAB physical attacks without much worry. What Blissey has over Eviolite Chansey is access to Leftovers, which means Sandstorm damage is recovered every turn, whereas Chansey is forced to recover itself with Softboiled more often, and passive damage adds up faster. Blissey also has higher HP than Chansey.

Well, this being a /favorites/ team, I put my six current /favorites/ here to form this /favorites/ team.

That's totally why I make Squads, for the good of all humanity.

Glare is apparently illegal on Contrary Serperior. You said that yourself.

Which is why I have Dragon Tail on mine now. Glare wasn't confirmed illegal at the time of posting. @_@

i only see one weak spot on your team the Servine how ever it can be a pain when fighting it

Serperior* isn't a weak spot, really, as it only gets stronger from repeated Leaf Storms. It's meant for a late-game sweep, when the opponent's team has been sufficiently weakened, and the opponent's counters have been dealt with.
