"Your" team
Created by Damien.aspiring.fandev
This team filled with symbolism and references is meant to be a team fitting for anyone. Before making comments, let me explain myself : this individual baffles many, for it's still unclear to this day who you really are.It is generally believed you are a recurrent character through the games, who is totally external to any occurring event and occurrence, and offers guidance to the game protagonists through their journey. You are never truly seen, and aren't even referenced by the characters. The professors giving the opening lectures do, seem to be directly referring to you, but also seem to identify you as the protagonist, which is rather confusing. In the Mystery Dungeon side games you're implied to have been transfigured into a pokémon, especially in the rescue and exploration games, in which you're asked to undertake a personality test in order to determine the species you'll be turned into, thus you might ALSO be the protagonist. The most striking case in which this mysterious, shady benefactor is referenced is the ending scene in Mystery Dungeons : Gates to Infinity, when a hydreigon acknowledges your existance and offers you the opportunity to return.
Holding Silk Scarf
Ability: Multitype
Moves: Nature: Hasty
Most players have place for at least one legendary within their team, and being, accordingly to Sinnoh mythology, director of the Universe® development team, Arceus makes a legendary choice for excellece. Arceus might also represent someone's will to create, to change the surrounding environment to their liking. Besides, what's not to enjoy about Arceus? They are the creator of the Pokéverse, learn almost any move, change their type and color depending on the held tablet, they bear a graceful ring that looks like the piece of an ornate fence and have a candid, soft coat... Being hard to catch the balls you'll most likely find them within would be master, timer, dusk and ultra balls, however I'd suggest the luxury ball due to its pretty look and sparkly effects. The moveset is from the unused Arceus event in Diamond&Pearl, the silk scarf came with a real event.
Holding Expert Belt
Ability: Illusion
Moves: Nature: Serious
Being an illusionist, zoroark would represent the lacking knowledge of a certain, absolute truth, the existence of many relative truths and the philosophical doubting. The expert belt was held by event givaway zoroarks. Female gender would be best as reference to movie 13th, where one of the main characters was a mother zoroark. The very colours could be taken as symbolic : black, reminiscing the darkness, could represent the unknown, whilst crimson is the colour of the blood that circulates in us all.Since there's many things we don't know even about ourselves and we all have blood within, zoroark's colours could fit anyone. As ball I'd suggest the dusk ball(reminiscent of the dark type) or the cherish ball(containing event pokémon). The moveset, serious nature and expert belt come from real events.
Holding Choice Scarf
Ability: Imposter
Moves: Nature: Quirky
Ditto, not knowing any moves aside transform and using it to turn into anything it sees, represents the instability of our inner selves.Besides, being able to transform, ditto makes an excellent all-in-one Pokémon. As ball, I'd suggest the premier ball : despite being a poor excuse to buy over 10 balls of the same kind, it's meant to be commemorative and is used by the collector trainer class.
Holding Air Balloon
Ability: Static
Moves: Nature: Bold
Forsaken pikachu has been iconic since the early days of the main Pokémon animated series, and thus became the mascot and was put in the spotlight every single generation. The animated series is how probably most players got to know the franchise, thus I think pikachu fits in nicely. The male gender would be best since Ash's pikachu is a chap.Ash's pikachu is also known for his imitations, linking him to ditto. The bold nature is a reference to the Mystery Dungeons:EoS personality test, in which chaps that result bold-natured get to play as a pikachu. The air baloon, aside protecting from ground-type attacks, is a reference to the Yellow version intro. The moveset is that of Red's pikachu in Sun&Moon. A fast ball(decorated with an embossed lightning mark) and a cherish ball(containing event Pokémon) would probably fit best. If this pikachu had the original cap too, it would be the top, but those event pikachus all have a hardy nature, so there goes the MD reference... unless you're on a fan-game you're making or on Pokémon Showdown!
Holding Scope Lens
Ability: Defiant
Moves: Nature: Brave
Braviary in this case represents the protection of the kindred. Note how it has "fly", move that every player probable uses to travel quickly around the region(I can't imagine a player without fly).In terms of gender, only male braviaries exist.Zoroark already has the black-and-crimson colouring,so I'd suggest the shiny variant, for it features a relaxing blue. You see, blue and green shades inspire us calmness and quiet because they're reminiscent of the landscape, true psychology. The only ball I see fit is the quick ball because of its motif inspiring dynamicity and being partly sky-blue.
Holding Thick Club
Ability: Battle Armor
Moves: Nature: Lonely
Due to the myth about the "skull that once belonged to the mother" that surrounds marowak and cubone(look, cubones can't just wear the skulls of their still-alive mothers), marowak represents those we miss. I'd recommend the female gender as reference to the mother marowak in Lavender town. As for the nature, chaps whom resulted "lonely" and chapettes whom resulted "impish" according to the personality test in Mystery Dungeon r&b rescue teams would get to play as cubone, and both these natures would be a nifty reference. As ball, I'd suggest a friend ball to cheer up its inhabitant.
